So the WEEKENDER compiled a list of events to enjoy from now until Christmas Day. All you have to do is choose which one is most appropriate for you, your friends and family!

Friday, December 21

Soiree de Champagne et Caviar

Kigali’s top socialite Kate Peyton this Friday hosts an evening dubbed ‘Soiree de Champagne et Caviar‘ at Signature Lounge in Kiyovu.

Time: 7pm.

Oyster Bar and Grill

Oyster Bar and Grill, in Remera, re-opens this Friday. They’ve lined up DJ Fla and a number of DJs to drop the beats as you enter the festive season.  

Time: 6pm.

First Class Friday

Social Media favorite Eric Semuhungu is in town and he’s hosting a party, First Class Friday’ today at Cocobean Club in Kacyiru. DJ infinity and DJ Toxxyk will provide the beats.

Christmas Cantata

For our Christian folks, the annual Christmas Cantata, a one hour-and-a-half musical theatre production telling the story of Christmas through various creative means, is back at Nyarutarama-based Christian Life Assembly (CLA).

Time: 6pm.

Izihirwe na MTN

This Friday, MTN Rwanda wraps its ‘Izihirwe na MTN’ campaign with a concert that will bring together Charly & Nina, Riderman, Bruce Melodie and Yvan Buravan at Gikondo Expo Grounds

Venue: Gikondo Expo Grounds.
Time: 2pm.

Jazz with Stella

For Jazz fans, ever rising jazz superstar, Stella Tush has a show at Iwawe Hotel in Kacyiru today.

Time: 6pm.

Gakondo Concert

A long list of traditional musicians are set to light up Kigali’s car-free zone this Friday. 

Venue: Car-free zone.
Time: 4pm.

New Cadillac Launch

You remember Cadillac? Yeah, it is back but not at their old premises. Located at the basement of the UTC building in downtown Kigali, New Cadillac has returned to reclaim its former glory, seven years after the original night club in Kimihurura closed shop.

Venue: UTC Mall, downtown Kigali.
Time: 9pm.

Voltage Club

The season of parties is here and Kigali’s entrepreneurs are not sleeping on the job. Voltage Club plans to officially launch next weekend but they have a pre-launch this Friday for the many holiday-makers in town.

Rwanda Connect Gala

Cecile Kayirebwa and Kidumu hook up this evening for a show dubbed “Rwanda Connect Gala” at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Hall, Camp Kigali. They will be joined by a number of local artists.

Saturday, December 22

Kivu Boat Cruise

For those of you who would like to escape Kigali, what better option than spending a weekend on the beautiful Lake Kivu aboard a party boat?

As you enjoy drinks and food, DJs Marnaud and Infinity will make sure you are thoroughly entertained.

Sunday, December 23

Christmas Carols

The Christmas season comes with Christmas songs and Akagera Hall, located at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Hall in Camp Kigali, is the place to head to if you want to listen some cool baby Jesus songs by Watoto Choir.

Tuesday, December 25

Umurage Live Band

On Christmas Day, Evy Ngabo and his Umurage Band will be at Hotel des Mille Collines in Kiyovu for a show at the hotel’s gardens.

Time: 1pm.

Silent Disco

The second edition of the Fuschia silent disco takes place on Christmas Day. With four DJs and a well-lit street bash, it is surely a place you will need to be to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

On both Christmas Day and New Years Eve, Amakesha Choir will be entertaining Christian faithful at Zion Temple. Come enjoy the best praise and worship songs as you listen to Pastor Gitwaza‘s sermon.
